Like many children of immigrants, I grew up being my family's voice. I was the interpreter, the navigator, watching my single mother face a system that wasn't built for us. Every confusing form, every misunderstood process, every moment of feeling like an outsider – it all shaped who I am and why I fight.

I became a lawyer because I bought into something bigger: the idea that our Constitution means something. That we all deserve equal rights and equal opportunity. That our families deserve to protect what they've worked so hard to build, and our communities deserve policies that actually serve them.

That's why Colibri isn't just another law firm. We're here to fight for the families who feel the system is against them, and for the communities trying to create real change. When I help a family secure their legacy through estate planning, I'm fighting for every immigrant parent who dreams of giving their children a better future. When I work with cities on policy development, I'm fighting to make sure our community's voice is heard at every level.

I use every tool I have – my legal training, my organizing skills, my lived experience – to build something different. A practice that truly understands our struggles, respects our values, and fights for our future. Because like a guerrera, I'll never stop showing up for my community.
